The NFL has suspended Texans P Brett Hartmann four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, PFW correspondent and Houston Chronicle writer John McClain reported.
Hartmann was an undrafted rookie last season and had a 37.8-yard net punting average. He tore a ligament in his knee in the team's 12th game and had to go on injured reserve.
Matt Turk replaced Hartmann in the final four games of the season and in the playoffs. According to McClain, the NFL credited the Texans' playoff game against Baltimore as the first game of Hartmann's suspension.
