Multiple outlets reported Sunday that the Seahawks released veteran WR Antonio Bryant and replaced him on the 90-man roster with PK Carson Wiggs, an undrafted rookie out of Purdue.

Bryant, whom the team had signed on July 26, had missed the last two practices with an unknown injury. His reps had been limited during the first week of training camp. With the release of Bryant, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2009, Seattle now has 13 receivers on the roster.

PK Steven Hauschka did not kick during the team's field-goal period on Saturday, so it’s possible Wiggs, who was cut July 31 when the team signed WR Braylon Edwards, was brought back to help Hauschka rest his legs.
