With injuries an issue at wide receiver, the Seattle Seahawks made a move for some help on Friday, signing Arizona Cardinals castoff Early Doucet to a one-year contract, according to multiple reports.
The Seahawks lost Percy Harvin until at least November after he underwent hip surgery on Thursday and fellow receiver Sidney Rice is dealing with a knee problem that took him to Switzerland this week for treatment.
Doucet was released by the Arizona Cardinals in March, He had suffered a concussion last season and the Cardinals decided against bringing him back. He was due to make $1.95 million in 2013.
Doucet's injury history not only includes multiple concussions but ribs, groin, abdomen, hamstrings, quadriceps and a shoulder.
The five-year veteran caught 28 passes for 207 yards in 12 games last year. Two seasons ago, he had 54 receptions for 689 yards and five touchdowns. His career totals with the Cardinals were 139 catches for 1,491 yards and seven touchdowns.
