The firm run by former FBI director Louis Freeh has been hired by the New Orleans Saints to look into allegations general manager Mickey Loomis has an electronic device in his booth at the Superdome that allowed him to listen to visiting coaches on game days.
ESPN reports that Freeh Group International Solutions has been working on the matter since the middle of May and FBI agents are also looking into the situation.
“We have given the Freeh Group complete access to our team and all of the individuals who have been associated with this news story.”
The Saints have denied Loomis did any eavesdropping or had the capacity to do so. It’s just one of the stories that has rocked the club this offseason and taken the focus off football.
