Report: Redskins cut DeAngelo Hall

National Football Post

It has been speculated about for a few weeks and the Washington Redskins have finally parted ways with DeAngelo Hall, adding another talented cornerback to the pool of available free agents.

Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports the team has cut the veteran corner man.

The 10-year veteran was scheduled to make $8 million this season and the Redskins are pressed against the salary cap because of penalties from the NFL. The sometimes controversial Hall made 95 tackles last season and had four interceptions.

Hall joins a crop of free agents that includes Sean Smith and Aqib Talib. Chris Gamble would have been in that mix but news broke this morning that the former Carolina Panther is retiring.
