Ravens OLB Michael McAdoo tore his Achilles tendon in the team’s OTA practice on Thursday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. McAdoo underwent surgery on Friday and is expected to miss the 2012 season.
McAdoo was in last year’s supplemental draft, but went undrafted and the Ravens signed him. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
The 6-7, 245-pounder had a sack and forced fumble in the team’s preseason finale last year. McAdoo would have been competing for playing time at a position that is looking for players to step up after Terrell Suggs partially tore his Achilles tendon in April.
