Report: Ravens down to two for OC job

The SportsXchange

The Baltimore Ravens have narrowed their search down to Kyle Shanahan and Jim Hostler for the offensive coordinator position, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

The position came open when Jim Caldwell was named head coach of the Detroit Lions last week.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back coach Kirby Wilson interviewed for the job Friday, but the Ravens decided to go in another direction, Rapoport reported.

The Ravens' offense ranked No. 29 in the NFL in 2013 following the team's Super Bowl XLVII-winning season.

Shanahan found success as the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator in 2008-09, but had mixed results in the same role for the Washington Redskins during the last four seasons.

Hostler is currently the Ravens' wide receivers coach, a post he has held since 2008. He was the San Francisco 49ers' offensive coordinator in 2007.
