It seemed that it was just a matter of time before the proposed trade that would send quarterback Carson Palmer from the Oakland Raiders to the Arizona Cardinals would be completed.
But, CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Monday that the trade discussions have hit a snag, and it's possible the deal may not get done.
According to the report, both sides are pushing for Palmer to reach an agreement to restructure his salary.
Palmer's current contract calls for him to be paid $13 million in 2013, and if he cannot be persuaded to accept less money, the deal may be dead.
The Raiders would get a late-round draft choice from the Cardinals for Palmer. The Raiders acquired quarterback Matt Flynn in a trade on Monday, clearing the way for the Palmer deal.
