An all-star game that has turned into a sideshow in the last several years might be done. For the time being, anyway.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported this morning on “Mike and Mike in the Morning” that the NFL is moving toward suspending the Pro Bowl this year. He said the all-star game is on “life support at best.”
But when football isn’t football, it’s difficult to sell interest in the game. Without pass rushing, without blocking and with timid tackling, it’s really not football.
Stay tuned. It will be interesting to see what kind of player reaction there would be to this potential move.
