Detroit Pistons rookie center Andre Drummond is expected to be out of action for 4-6 weeks because of a stress fracture in his back, Yahoo! Sports reported Friday. There is some discrepancy as to the precise location of the injury. The Detroit News reported that Drummond has a fractured tailbone, but the reports agree that Drummond will require surgery to have the problem fixed and that he will be out at least a month. Drummond, the ninth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, has shown improvement recently and is averaging 7.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks for the season. The 6-foot-10 Drummond, 19, was selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge over All-Star weekend, but will not play in that game.
