    Report: Panthers hire Holcomb as LB coach

    The Carolina Panthers hired Al Holcomb as their linebackers coach, ESPN reported Friday.

    Holcomb earlier interviewed for the New York Giants' job. This is Holcomb's first job as an NFL position coach. Holcomb was a defensive assistant with the Giants, and was previously a minority coaching intern with the New York Jets.
