The NFL is scheduled to hear an appeal on Aug. 15 by Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller of his four-game suspension, ESPN reported Thursday.
Miller's suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy has been on hold while he awaits a meeting with NFL officials during the appeals process.
The All-Pro, who tested positive for marijuana during his rookie season, has not indicated the reason for the suspension but contends that he has not used pot. NFL Players' Association representative George Atallah said Miller did not violate the league's performance enhancing drugs policy.
Miller, 24, had 18 1/2 sacks for the Broncos last season and 11 1/2 in 2011.
