Report: Marlins sign Qualls to minor-league deal

The Miami Marlins have signed pitcher Chad Qualls to a minor league contract, the Miami Herald reported Friday.

The deal includes an invitation to spring training.

Qualls, 34, had a 2-1 record with a 5.33 ERA last season as a reliever while pitching for three teams -- the Phillies, Yankees and Pirates.
