Report: Manziel in Oakland with Raiders

The SportsXchange

Former Heisman Trophy winner and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is visiting with the Oakland Raiders for the next two days, according to ESPN.

Manziel flew to Oakland on Sunday morning after spending Saturday night at the NCAA Tournament in Arlington, Texas. He is meeting with the Raiders through Monday, according to the report.

Manziel, projected as a first-round pick in next month's draft, reportedly visited the New England Patriots last week.

Manziel is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback and seventh overall prospect by Oakland has the No. 5 pick.

The Raiders acquired quarterback Matt Schaub in a trade with the Houston Texans last month, but could be interested in drafting a quarterback for the long term.

The Raiders went 4-12 in 2013 with Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin splitting time at quarterback. The team has said it may trade or release Pryor.
