Report: Luck's former OC will be his OC with Colts

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck reportedly will be reuinted with his former college offensive coordinator.

Pep Hamilton, whose official title for Stanford was "Andrew Luck Director of Offense," has agreed to become Luck's offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, reported, based on sources.

Hamilton succeeds Bruce Arians, who accepted the Arizona Cardinals' head-coaching job Thursday.

Hamilton, the Cardinals' offensive coordinator during Luck's senior season, is one of a handful of candidates for Arians' job and could be interviewed Friday by the Colts according to

After one season as Stanford's wide receivers coach in 2010, Hamilton was elevated to offensive coordinator in 2011. The Cardinal averaged 43.2 points with Luck at quarterback in his final year and then rolled to a 12-2 season in 2012 that ended with a Rose Bowl victory. After the 2011 season, Luck was drafted No. 1 overall by the Colts.

Hamilton also has interviewed with the New York Jets for their offensive coordinator job.

Hamilton's NFL experience includes four seasons with the Chicago Bears as quarterbacks coach and one year with the Jets as an offensive assistant.
