Given Sanchez's poor play the past couple of seasons and the Jets' decision to give him a hefty extension in the off-season, finding a trade partner won't be easy unless the Jets are somehow willing to shoulder most of what Sanchez is owed or Sanchez is willing to take a pay cut in order to gain a fresh start.
The other part of the report indicates that perhaps the Jets and Michael Vick could have interest in matching up with each other. Vick has fallen out of favor in Philadelphia, but Rex Ryan needs someone to stabilize the position in New York, and though Vick has had his ups and downs over his career, the Jets coach apparently likes him and needs to save his own job with a rebound season in 2013.
