Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa visited five MLB teams over the weekend, and appears to have received offers from 10 Major League teams, according to a Nikkan Sports report.
The report, translated by NPB Tracker's Patrick Newman, said that Fujikawa has eliminated five teams as possibilities.
Fujikawa, 32, has reportedly met with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. He is seeking a multiyear deal. Because he's a free agent, a posting process isn't required.
In the previous six seasons with the Hanshin Tigers, Fujikawa has 202 saves and a 1.36 ERA. He has also recorded a 0.86 WHIP and 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
