Dimitrios Chondrokoukis, who won the world indoor high jump title in March, will withdraw from the London Olympics after testing positive for a banned substance, his father said in a statement Thursday, the Greek daily Kathimerini reported. "Dimitris will not take part in the Olympic Games, leaving unfulfilled a dream of a lifetime," his father and coach Kyriakos Chondrokoukis said in a statement, according to the report. He allegedly tested positive for the steroid stanozolol. Chondrokoukis, 24, was expected to compete for a medal in London.
