Fantasy Football 2014:

Report: Giants to interview Dorrell for OC job

The SportsXchange

Former Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Karl Dorrell will interview for the New York Giants' offensive coordinator position, ESPN.com reported Thursday.

The Giants have been interviewing this week for the job that became open when Kevin Gilbride retired after the season.

Dorrell and most of the other coaches were let go in Houston when Bill O'Brien took over as the Texans' head coach.

Dorrell has filled the offensive coordinator position at the college level and spent five years as the head coach at UCLA. He compiled a 35-27 record with the Bruins before being fired at the end of the 2007 season.

The 50-year-old Dorrell is the fourth known candidate for the position.

The Giants interviewed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan and former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains on Wednesday. The Giants also reportedly scheduled an interview with Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo for this weekend.
