Report: Gano wins Redskins' kicking job

Graham Gano has won the Redskins' kicking job for now with the release of Neil Rackers on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Redskins signed the veteran Rackers during the offseason to provide competition for Gano, who has a big leg but has been inconsistent through his first three seasons.

Rackers made one of his two field-goal attempts during the preseason, while Gano has yet to try one through three games. However, Gano did get touchbacks on 2 of 6 kickoffs while Rackers was 1 of 4 in that category.

Gano has made 59 of 80 (73.8 percent) career field-goal attempts.
