Report: Eagles hire Oregon's Kelly as head coach

Oregon coach Chip Kelly will be named the new head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles after the taem's three-week search, ESPN.com reported Wednesday.

The Eagles reached an agreement with Kelly on Wednesday morning, according to the report.

Philadelphia had interviewed Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley on Tuesday, and he was believed to be one of the front-runners among at least 11 candidates the Eagles had interviewed to replace Andy Reid, who was fired after 14 seasons as coach on Dec. 31.

Kelly, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly and Penn State coach Bill O'Brien had interviewed for the opening, but the Irish's Kelly and O'Brien decided to stay in college.
