Report: Dolphins' Knowshon Moreno out four weeks with dislocated elbow

Dolphins running back Knowson Moreno suffered an elbow injury on his first carry of the game Sunday, an that injury could sideline him until mid-October, according to ProFootballTalk.

Moreno has been diagnosed with a dislocated elbow and is expected to miss at least the next four weeks. Under that timeline, Moreno would be out until after Week 6, but he'd only miss three games because the Dolphins have a Week 5 bye.

Moreno was a big reason the Dolphins beat the Patriots in Week 1. The 27-year-old ran for 134 yards and a touchdown, but he never got a chance to get going in Miami's loss to Buffalo.

On his first carry, Moreno's elbow was smashed underneath the knee of Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham. Moreno was taken to the locker room and ruled out almost immediately after that.

Lamar Miller finished the game at running back for the Dolphins, rushing for 46 yards on 11 carries.
