John Davidson will step down as the St. Louis Blues president of hockey operations and has agreed to a buyout offer from the team, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Thursday. Davidson interviewed with Columbus Blue Jackets majority owner John P. McConnell and club president Mike Priest in May for a position with that team, but there is no word on Davidson's future plans. He had three years left on a four-year contract he signed with the Blues last year, but he had a 30-day window to consider other opportunities if the Blues were sold. Tom Stillman was approved as the Blues' new owner on May 9.
