Report: Cardinals fear Levi Brown is lost for season

The Arizona Cardinals have been struggling to get competent quarterback play in preseason.

That issue could be heightened if they are going to have difficulty protecting the quarterback.

The Cardinals received a potentially serious blow Friday night when left tackle Levi Brown suffered a torn triceps. The injury is being evaluated and Adam Caplan reports the team fears Brown will be lost for the season.

If Brown misses the season, the Cardinals have a couple of options. None of them are very appealing. D.J. Young is currently listed as the backup at the position. He’s been a practice squad player. Jeremy Bridges could be moved over from right tackle.

Starting caliber left tackles are not going to be available on the street. The Cardinals’ quarterback situation might just be a little more murky at this point.
