Report: Bruins will not bring Jagr back

The SportsXchange

Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli confirmed on Sunday that the team will not bring Jaromir Jagr back for next season, CSNEE.com reported.

"I was asked a couple of times about [Jagr], and we're done for now," said Chiarelli, according to the report. "Obviously you want to develop your talent and bring them in and let them play. Sometimes there's not room for them and sometimes you use them as chips in deals, but you always have to develop. To be in a position where they're ready to play breathes new life into everybody."

Jagr, 41, had two goals and seven assists in 11 games with the Bruins last season after collecting 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games with Dallas earlier last season. Boston acquired Jar from Dallas in early April.

He had no goals and 10 assists in 22 postseason games for the Bruins this year.
