Report: Browns fear Fujita's career may be over

Not a lot was made of Scott Fujita's shoulder injury that caused him to miss Cleveland's game on Sunday, but a report surfaced Monday saying Fujita's NFL playing days may be over.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Monday that Fujita, a linebacker, has a neck injury that Fujita and the Browns fear could end his career.

Fujita played in Cleveland's previous four games, recording 14 tackles and a sack.

Fujita had initially been suspended for four games by the NFL for his alleged role in the New Orelans Saints bounty program. That ban was eventually reduced to one game, but Fujita has always said he was innocent and is appealing the one-game suspension.

Fujita, 33, is in his 11th NFL season.
