Broncos look for Wolfe, others to step up at DT

The Broncos agreed to terms on a four-year deal with second-round DT Derek Wolfe, the team’s first pick of last month’s draft.

According to Mike Klis of The Denver Post, the deal is worth $5.2 million, with $3.2 million guaranteed.

The 36th overall pick in the draft, Wolfe filled a need the Broncos had on the interior of their D-line. Click here for Wolfe’s PFW scouting report.

The way we see it

The Broncos lost Brodrick Bunkley in free agency, have opted to not re-sign Marcus Thomas and are still unsure what they'll get out of veteran Ty Warren, so the need for an impact player is clear on the interior line. Wolfe is a good pass rusher and should be in the rotation up front from the get-go.
