Initial fears that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a serious leg injury Wednesday subsided in light of numerous followup reports that the ailment is not that serious.

Multiple media outlets reported that an MRI on Brady's left knee found no structural damage.

According to, Brady will be re-examined Thursday morning, and he's expected to practice later Thursday.

Brady threw an incomplete pass Wednesday during an 11-on-11 practice against the Buccaneers, and Tampa Bay defensive end Adrian Clayborn knocked Patriots offensive tackle Nate Solder into the quarterback. Brady went to the ground clutching his left leg.

"When you've got a guy on his heels, my instinct is to keep going, and that's what I did," Clayborn said.

Patriots president Jonathan Kraft told Boston radio station 98.5 The Sports Hub, "I'm under the impression that it's probably not that serious, but that's not a definitive answer."
