The Buffalo Bills will franchise ball-hawking safety Jairus Byrd, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The franchise tag for a safety is just over $6.9 million.
Byrd has been a ballhawk ever since he entered the NFL with nine interceptions as a rookie in 2009. He had five picks last year and forced four fumbles.
