The Bills released veteran DT Dwan Edwards, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Edwards, 31, has been with the Bills the past two seasons. In 2011, he played in every game with 13 starts and made 52 tackles and 2½ sacks.

Edwards began his career with the Ravens and played there from 2004-09. He was scheduled to make $3.8 million in 2012 and was a reserve defensive tackle in the Bills’ new 4-3 defense.
