David Beckham is reportedly looking to some old friends to provide more financial muscle to his MLS venture in Miami.
Beckham has asked the Qatari owners of Paris Saint-Germain, the club he ended his career with last year, for help funding the MLS expansion project, according to Le Parisien.
Qatar Sports Investments has spent more than 300 million euros to bolster PSG's roster since taking over the club in 2011, with signings including Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
MLS on Wednesday announced Beckham's choice to exercise his option for an expansion team, with Miami as the market. Bolivian billionaire Marcelo Claure is already attached to the franchise, but the club's entry to MLS is pending finalization of a new stadium.
