Bears LB Brian Urlacher is expected to miss the next three games with a hamstring injury, according to Chicago Tribune’s Vaughn McClure.
Urlacher suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks. McClure reports that Urlacher could miss the rest of the regular season and hopes to be fully recovered for the playoffs.
Urlacher, an eight-time Pro Bowler, has 68 tackles, seven passes defensed, an interception and two forced fumbles this season, while starting all 12 games. He has played in every game in 10 of his previous 12 NFL seasons.
Nick Roach would likely start for Urlacher at middle linebacker with Geno Hayes playing Roach’s spot on the outside. Urlacher, who injured his knee at the end of last season, is due for a new contract at season’s end.
