Report: Adrian Peterson hires attorney Roger Clemens used

Adrian Peterson will have a hired gun with him Friday when he is due in court for his initial appearance following his arrest Saturday morning on charges of resisting arrest.

The Minnesota Vikings running back has hired attorney Rusty Hardin to represent him, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com. Hardin, you will recall, is the high-profile lawyer who worked for Roger Clemens when the pitcher was exonerated on federal charges of lying to a grand jury.

Certainly Peterson faces far less trouble than Clemens potentially did. This shows Peterson is serious about telling his side of the story in court and prevailing when he has his day in court.
