Report: 5 teams interested in Browns' Cribbs

The SportsXchange

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs revealed Saturday during a radio interview that his agent is "meeting with several different teams ... there is a lot of interest ... there are already numbers brought to the table ... things are happening ... (and) wheels are turning behind closed doors," according to a report on ProFootballTalk.com Saturday night.

Citing another report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cribbs is reportedly being courted by the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.

All this talk comes amid the fact that the legal non-tampering period has opened in the NFL, but that league officials warned Friday that while, according to PFT, "while there can be discussions, there can be no offers and no agreements and no leaks of any agreements." Teams are not allowed to sign free agents yet, but they are allowed to have discussions with them.
