Report: 49ers trying to lock up Harbaugh, Kaepernick, Boldin

The SportsXchange

The San Francisco 49ers, who lost in the NFC Championship game this past season, are targeting an extension for head coach Jim Harbaugh this offseason, according to a report on Pro Football Talk.

Harbaugh, who turned down an extension last year, is rumored to be seeking a contract in the vicinity of $7 million per year as well as more say over personnel -- both of which may be sticking points.

According to the report, the team's complete offseason plans, which include locking up quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Anquan Boldin, will come into focus following next week's Scouting Combine.

Kaepernick is entering the final year of a 2011 second-round rookie contract while Boldin will become a free agent.
