Redskins sign OL Lee, re-sign DE Golston

The Redskins signed offensive lineman James Lee, bolstering depth along the offensive line. The team also re-signed defensive end Kedric Golston, according to ESPN 980 radio.

Lee, a former undrafted rookie out of South Carolina State, has spent time with the Bucs and and Browns since signing with Cleveland in 2008.

Gholston had 1.5 sacks in nine games last season before landing on injured reserve, but will return for a seventh season in Washington.

Golston lost his right-side starting job to free-agent signee Stephen Bowen last summer, and 2011 second-round draft choice Jarvis Jenkins will claim serious playing time in 2012 after missing last year with a torn ACL.

"I've pretty much been here ever since the Redskins drafted me (out of Georgia in the sixth round in 2006)," Golston said in February. "This is home. We love it here. My daughter is in school here. My wife has her business. I take a certain pride in being a part of this organization and I want to be here for the turnaround."

Golston tore the MCL and partially tore the ACL in his left knee in the Week 10 loss at Miami.
