The Washington Redskins signed former Indianapolis Colts long snapper Justin Snow to replace injured Nick Sundberg.
Sundberg suffered a broken left arm in the first half of Sunday's game against New Orleans during a blocked punt, but he continued to play in the second half. Sundberg, whose arm was placed in a cast, was put on injured reserve with the designated to return label, which keeps him eligible to play again in 2012.
Snow spent the previous 12 seasons with the Colts. He won the job over Lonie Paxton, Joe Zelenka and Matt Katula during a tryout.
The Redskins also added fullback Eric Kettani and running back Javarris Williams to the practice squad, while releasing running back Antwon Bailey, fullback Robert Hughes and defensive lineman Jason Shirley from the practice squad.
Kettani played for the Naval Academy, where he rushed for 2,091 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career, and is a member of the Navy Reserve.
Williams was a seventh-round pick by Kansas City out of Tennessee State in 2009, and played in four regular-season games for the Chiefs. He has spent time on the practice squads of the Seahawks, Texans and Cowboys.
