Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Redskins ready to jump into free agency, sort of

National Football Post

Does free agency really happen if the Washington Redskins and Daniel Snyder’s checkbook are not involved?

Fear not, the Redskins appear ready to get into the fray, even if they are late to the party.

Saddled with an $18 million penalty against their salary cap this season, the Redskins are in a very difficult position in terms of roster building. But they’re ready to do some work as Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports right tackle Jeremy Trueblood will visit over the weekend.

Trueblood has spent the past eight seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Redskins general manager Bruce Allen was in charge in Tampa when it drafted the Boston College product. Like most BC linemen, Trueblood has got a good bit of nasty to him and he could help in Washington where injuries have made the right tackle position a little bit of an issue since Jon Jansen left town.

The Redskins have already signed Tony Pashos, who could also be an option at right tackle.
