Redskins lock up one of their tight ends

The Washington Redskins are hanging on to one of their tight ends.

But Fred Davis didn’t get a new contract. Not yet anyway.

The Redskins have re-signed Logan Paulsen to a three-year contract, first reported by the NFP’s Joel Corry. Paulsen’s playing time expanded last season after Davis was lost to an Achilles tendon injury. He made 25 receptions for 308 yards and one touchdown.

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the deal is worth $4.1 million and includes a $1 million signing bonus. Incentives could push the deal to $7.1 million.
