The Redskins claimed CB Morgan Trent off waivers from the Jaguars.

“Landed in AZ to find out that I've been claimed by the Washington Redskins! Excited to wear the burgundy and Gold!” Trent tweeted.

Last season, Trent played in a total of 12 games — six with the Bengals, one with the Colts and five with the Jaguars. He had two starts for Jacksonville and picked off two passes.

Trent began his career in 2009 with the Bengals, playing in all 16 games and making 28 tackles and four passes defensed.

According to Adam Caplan of The Sideline View, the Redskins released CB Leigh Torrence, who was signed earlier this offseason. Torrence spent the last four seasons with the Saints.
