Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Redskins change kickers at an alarming rate

National Football Post

No one gets their kicks quite like the Washington Redskins.

They will use their 19th kicker since 1994 on Sunday when they host the Minnesota Vikings. That terrific statistic is courtesy of Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post after the Redskins dumped Billy Cundiff today and signed Kai Forbath following a tryout at Redskins Park.

That is six more kickers than the next closest franchises – Arizona, Dallas and San Francisco. Surely, they are longing for the days of Chip Lohmiller or Mark Moseley in Washington.

Forbath won a tryout that also included Olindo Mare and Josh Brown. Cundiff was cut loose after he missed four of his last five field goals, including a 31-yarder late in the first half of Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at FedEx Field.

The Redskins had Graham Gano and Neil Rackers locked in a battle for the kicking job in training camp before scooping up Cundiff after the Baltimore Ravens released him.
