The Cincinnati Reds signed left-handed pitcher Manny Parra to a one-year deal and designated right-hander Todd Redmond for assignment Friday. The move was made to make room for Parra on the 40-man roster. His deal is worth $1 million but he could make another $400,000 in bonuses, according to MLB.com. Parra was 2-3 with 5.06 ERA last year for the Milwaukee Brewers. Since Aroldis Chapman is likely to head to the rotation, Parra and Sean Marshall are the only lefties with major league experience in the bullpen.
