A's Reddick leaves game with wrist injury

Oakland A's outfielder Josh Reddick had to leave Sunday's game against the Houston Astros after he injured his right wrist when he crashed into the wall while chasing a flyball in the fifth inning.

X-rays were negative, and Reddick is listed as day to day with a sprained wrist, according to CSNBayArea.com.

"I was scared," Reddick said. "I was nervous that something was seriously wrong. I lost feeling in the area for quite a while."

Also, A's pitcher Brett Anderson was hit on his pitching thumb by a batted ball in the second inning. But he stayed in and went six innings, getting the win.

X-rays on his thumb were negative, and he is expected to make his next scheduled start.
