Would you like to spend the day fishing with celebrities? If so, you should set your sights on participating in the last event of the Redbone Trilogy. It is scheduled to take place during the month of November 2012 in Islamorada, Florida. Here are a few more details:
About the Finale
The Redbone Trilogy's finale is slated to take place Friday, November 2, 2012 through Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Islander Resort in Islamorada, Florida. It is the last stop in a charity fishing tournament series that is designed to help fund the fight against cystic fibrosis. During the tournament, participating anglers will be fishing for bonefish and redfish.
Celebrities expected to compete in the November finale include Jimbo Meador, Kevin Dineen, Bruce Melnick and jai-alai legend Joey Cornblit. Cornblit has allegedly been participating in fishing tournaments for many years now. He is also reputedly just as talented with a fishing pole as he is with a jai alai ball. Whether or not he will be able to parlay his finely honed, angling skills into a win in Islamorada remains to be seen.
How to Register
Anglers that wish to participate in the finale must pre-register and remit an entry fee. Entry fees start at $3,000. A registration form is available on the Redbone website. The registration form also contains a list of the tournament's rules.
