David Ortiz' foot is still bothering him, leaving the Red Sox without their designated hitter Tuesday night in Toronto.

The Red Sox will still be without David Ortiz Tuesday night as they try to make it two straight wins against the Blue Jays behind Rubby De La Rosa.

Today's Lineups

The Sox were hopeful that Ortiz would be good to go for tonight after sitting out yesterday's game, but apparently the foot hasn't fixed itself up quite as quickly as the team was hoping. Of course, as with every game for the rest of the year, "better safe than sorry" applies in a big way. The Red Sox don't need to be playing fast and loose with their players' health over pointless games.

Still, a win free of last night's drama would be awfully nice, and Rubby De La Rosa is probably one of the best bets to give it to them. Where Workman has floundered and Webster has imploded, Rubby has been...inconsistent, but still worth watching. He stumbled against Houston two outings ago, but his two starts against the Angels were certainly impressive enough to outweigh that.

Then again, homers have been a problem for the young starter, and Red Sox games in Toronto always seem filled with long balls.

First pitch is at 7:07 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
