Red Sox activate SS Drew from DL

The Boston Red Sox activated shortstop Stephen Drew from the 15-day disabled list and put him in Saturday's lineup against the New York Yankees.

Drew was out since June 28 with a hamstring injury.

The Red Sox optioned infielder Brock Holt to Class AAA Pawtucket.

Drew is batting .233 with a .313 on-base percentage, five home runs and 31 RBI in 66 games this season.

Rookie Jose Iglesias, who filled in at shortstop while Drew was out, is also in Saturday's lineup at third base. Iglesias has been impressive by batting .366 with a .416 on-base percentage.
