Real Madrid director hits out at referee after Osasuna tie

Real Madrid director Miguel Pardeza has hit out at the performance of referee Carlos Clos Gomez following the 2-2 draw with Osasuna on Saturday.

Sergio Ramos was sent off for two bookable offenses in the first half, the second coming for a perceived elbow on Oriol Riera that left coach Carlo Ancelotti fuming.

Although Madrid was able to battle back to earn a point through Isco and Pepe, Pardeza was less than impressed with the officials - particularly when Luka Modric was later denied a penalty following a foul from Alejandro Arribas.

"The red card affects you, it damages your ability to perform in general," Pardeza told the club's official website. "The first card wasn't a yellow for me. Without that, he wouldn't have been sent off. The referee was not inspired. Also, I think there was a penalty on Modric which could have changed the game."

Pardeza went on to stress that the club has no intention of allowing Angel di Maria to leave in the January transfer window following speculation over his future in the Spanish capital.

"I don't have to personalize it. He belongs to our institution and defends the Real Madrid shirt, and we welcome him as one of us. There is no issue on our side," the former forward said.
