For the second time this week, outfielder David DeJesus was traded.

The Tampa Bay Rays announced Friday that they acquired DeJesus from the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

DeJesus is expected to report to the Rays for Friday night's game against the New York Yankees. The Rays did not immediately announce a corresponding roster move.

DeJesus, 33, was traded from the Chicago Cubs to the Nationals on Monday. He played three games for Washington.

He is batting .247 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 19 doubles and a .327 on-base percentage in 87 games this season.

DeJesus has also played with the Kansas City Royals (2003-10) and Oakland A's (2011). He is a career .279 hitter with a .353 on-base percentage in 1,242 games.
