Ravens set to sign TE Clark

The SportsXchange

The Baltimore Ravens reached an agreement with tight end Dallas Clark on a one-year deal, the team announced Sunday night.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Indianapolis Colt will take a physical Monday in Baltimore.

The Ravens had a definite need at the position because Dennis Pitta is out for the season with a hip injury, and Ed Dickson has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Clark, 34, was named a first-team All-Pro in 2009, when he had 100 receptions for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The former first-round pick spent his first nine NFL seasons with the Colts, starting at least 10 games every season except for 2010, when he was limited to six games due to a wrist injury. He helped Indianapolis win Super Bowl XLI.

Clark signed a free agent deal with the Buccaneers in May 2012, and he caught 47 passes for 435 yards during his lone season in Tampa Bay.
