The Ravens placed LB Ray Lewis on injured reserve with a designation to return. Lewis tore his right triceps muscle in Sunday’s win over Dallas.
On the new injured-reserve list, Lewis, who is having surgery Wednesday, is eligible to return this season, though head coach John Harbaugh told reporters it’s unlikely.
“We’re going to keep the door open,” Harbaugh said.
The future Hall-of-Fame linebacker had 57 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in six games this season.
The Ravens did place CB Lardarius Webb (torn ACL) on injured reserve on Tuesday and activated RB Bobby Rainey to the 53-man roster. Baltimore activated OLB Terrell Suggs from the physically-unable-to-perform list, as he returned to practice Wednesday.
